busy days & a rainbow

I'm tired.
Who isn't, I know? I'm sure anyone who is reading this is tired in some way.
And I won't complain about my busy days because I choose to fill them. Though sometimes I wonder why I say "yes" to the one extra thing...am I subconsciously trying to torture myself? I'll ponder this.
I sign up for 18 credits (granted, I have to if I want to graduate from my education program in time)
I tutor, volunteer, and nanny whenever I'm available.
I choose this, so complaining would be quite silly.

Instead, here's my plan for this weekend:
Sleep in. Bake something pumpkin. Make stovetop mac & cheese. Post a recipe (yay!).Write a paper. Watch Food Network and Say Yes to The Dress. Get coffee with a friend. Paint my nails.

And, I'll leave you with a rainbow. It's been raining quite a lot here lately, which means I can wear my flowered rainboots so that's just fine with me.

I heard the front door fly open and my dad and brother rush outside. A double (!!) rainbow stretched all the way across the sky. It lingered as the sun set and the rain stopped, so I was able to capture it.
I love things like this, that make people come out on their porches and just stop for a moment. I love that my dad thought to videotape the rainbow under an umbrella as the rain poured down.
Of course, my brother then had to show my dad the youtube sensation "double rainbow" video. too funny.
Now, my dad is constantly quoting from it..."what does it mean?!" haha.

  1. I'm posting about the same thing! And I entirely share your sentiment -- I choose to fill them AND look at rainbows! Thanks.
